a new painting I did today… I guess my take on “Virgen de Guadeloupe” but subconsciously she ended up looking a bit like Clementine from “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” also earlier in the day I was looking around my nanas bedroom which I share with her and notice there were 3 pictures/statues of this saint around the room… and made a mental note to doing a painting inspired by her look … thus this came to light.
and I was remembering when I was younger (about 3 years old)- I didn’t understand religion or saints and their roles etc… but I remember seeing a large painting of her adorning my grandparents room and admiring her. In this particular painting I saw she was beautiful. My nana then told me what her story was and I imagined when I passed I would look like her… That was my childhood imagination… I’ve since don’t identify with any religion nor did I ever follow it strictly…
So that is your history lesson of my self for today.

I just sent a list of Coheed songs for my boyfriend to check out when he has the time… I have successfully got him into a few of my other favorite bands: Tool, Puscifer, GlassJAw, Deftones, AFI (old) to name a few— so hopefully this goes over well… HA! It has really turned into a MUST at this point to get him to listen to them.
